His educational background includes a Bachelor of Economics in Accounting and Finance from La Trobe University, a Graduate Diploma of Property, Investment from RMIT University, and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Investment & Finance in Investments and Securities from FINSIA.

Matthew is passionate about balancing work, life, and community, as evidenced by his dedication to volunteer surf lifesaving and his devotion to his four children. He has held various executive and leadership roles within organizations such as The Healey Retirement Village and Springwood Living Group. He was also formerly the CEO and Managing Director of Simonds Homes and held senior roles at Becton and Cbus Super Fund.
