LiveJournal is a social networking service where users can keep a blog, journal, or diary. My duty was to develop new features and fix bugs at backend (and sometimes frontend) side.

As a part of my job I've fixed some problems in text editor (tag-related). I've designed, planned and developed cross-domain authorization for browsers, which settings restrict cross-domain cookie. Meanwhile some XSS-related issues were found and fixed.
I've also improved some server-side API calls for web, Android and iOS applications. I've added proper locking for multi-server tasks, that should run for a long time only at one instance.

All the described work was documented in Confluence.

One of the tasks I've completed was to fix backend code so that it could run on newer Linux OS version.

RAMBLER&Co

Sports.ru is the biggest russian social media about sports and health. It's also one of the oldest ones (established at 1998).

I work as a backend (sometimes fullstack) developer at Sports.ru. My latest achievements as backend developer are creating and integrating support of big social networks authorization systems. Exactly OAuth2 (AppleID) and OpenID2 (Steam). Also I've supported other big socials authorization like VK, Yandex, Facebook, Google, etc. I've updated our code to use major API changes. I also planned, developed and integrated account confirmations system via phone number and SMS.

I've participated in big transition process, when we've moved from standalone servers to Kubernetes. Some of the Dockerfiles, Helm charts and Gitlab CI scripts were written by me.

At work I've used Perl, Javascript (both client side and node.js), Postgresql, Redis, Mongo, Memcached, NSQ and RabbitMQ... and many other technologies and languages (including PHP, Go and Python). At the frontend side I've used Angular.JS, and some of HTML5 and CSS.

Crazy Panda is a developer of mobile and social games. It is a young company, however it is in TOP3 russian game developers and in TOP30 best game developers in the world. Currently Crazy Panda products runs on numerous international and russian resources and translated to 9 languages. There are more than 50 million of users.

I'm in duty for "The Household" project as a server backend programmer. This game works on all major Russian and worldwide social networks, like <a href="http://VK.com">VK.com</a>, Odnoklassniki and Facebook. Server-side of the project is written on Perl and also uses C and C++ XS modules to achieve optimal performance and memory consumtion. Also I participated in development of internal library, which used in all games, made in Crazy Panda.

IPONWEB can solve large scale and complex computing tasks, that are not rare in online advertising market. Company's technology and learning algorithms impact billions of online advertisements, predicting potential user behavior, interest and response, making complex decisions over which advertisements to display and then delivering them in real time.

I'm responsible for creation of web-based user interfaces for some company products. As a team lead I'm working to plan architecture of UI-related parts, describe tasks to implement separate features, to write and to review code. Also my duty includes preparation of new releases and interaction with QA department to test and roll them out.

IPonWeb

RuTube is a popular Russian internet service, allowing it's users to view, exchange and translate video. It has been created in 2006 and rapidly grown up so that at 2009 Rutube served more than 400 000 users daily and more than 37 million video views monthly.

Rutube provides video translation capabilities for some of the biggest Russian TV-channels and radio stations and allows creation of video-blogs and personal virtual channels. Many partners choose Rutube to enable video capabilities on their own sites.

As a sole developer, I've worked on a rutube.ru performance optimization (mostly server-side, but includes client side too). Results includes lowering average load of a back-end server approximately in 4 times and decreasing page load time in approximately 3 times.

As a sole developer integrated support of a new video-container and codec formats to a video balancing application.

Working in a team, fixed multiple (tens and hundreds) bugs, left from a previous team.

Participated in development of a work flow for web development department.

-  As a developer and team lead, started and accomplished project on redesigning main page of Rambler Search engine (<a href="http://www.rambler.ru/">http://www.rambler.ru/</a>). This includes rewriting software “from scratch” in a hurry for a very high load simultaneously with outstanding requirements for site availability.
-  Started and successfully released project of geolocation system to use with other Rambler projects. Geolocation system finds out user's location and provides to him/her personalized information for that location.
-  Implemented tags, folders and group operations on internet favorites for Rambler-Favorites project (<a href="http://zakladki.rambler.ru/">http://zakladki.rambler.ru/</a>).
-  Implemented tickets information import for Rambler-Afisha (<a href="http://afisha.rambler.ru/">http://afisha.rambler.ru/</a>).
