Senior Financial Analyst

In Late-April 2017, Chase stepped down as CFO of Flowhub to further his experience in the arena of business management.  With an ambition to help other entrepreneurs grow their business, Chase found an opening in a film production company.  With his passion for film and the opportunity to build momentum with the company’s already accelerated growth, Chase moved back to the midwest to join the Gorilla team.

In 2014, Chase was approached by Kyle Sherman to help him fill a void pertaining to traceability aspects of a new and booming industry.  From that idea they launched Flowhub, a company with the vision to simplify and automate compliance through technology in highly regulated markets. As a founder you wear multiple hat, but below were a few key responsibilities.

-  Prepared Private Placement Memorandums (PPM) for multiple rounds of funding acquiring
millions of dollars of capital investments.
-  Built a software implementation plan growing Annual Recurring Revenues in the first 30 days of execution by over 250%
-  Implemented an automated billing portal for our customers expediting our Account Receivable (A/R) process in a highly regulated industry

Co-Founder and CFO

After gaining on the ground experience, Chase earned a promotion to corporate controller at the global headquarters and worked closely with the CFO. His responsibilities involved creating deliverables for the executive team and financial partners, mainly valuation analysis, cashflow planning, regional budgets, and other forecasts.

-  Curated annual budgets for the company’s plantations using prediction interval methodologies across three unique regions.
-  Crafted a digital dashboard utilizing data from various operational metrics, enabling executives to form decisions in real-time while providing automated shareholder updates.

EcoPlanet Bamboo

Corporate Controller

Chase was directly responsible for all aspects of business development, both within plantation operations, and in the cohesion between in country operations with EcoPlanet Bamboo’s global policies and operations.

Achievements:
-  Involvement in numerous financing deals such as plot leasing model (profit-sharing), environmentally focused sub fund financing (debt), and the first bamboo bond (debt).
-  Point person during the underwriting process with the World Bank Group to acquire Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency Insurance for the organizations’ foreign investments.
-  Project Lead in receiving Forestry Stewardship Certification (FSC), Climate, Community, & Biodiversity Alliance (CCBA), and Verified Carbon Standard (VCS); Ecoplanet Bamboo being the first bamboo company in the world to receive any of these certifications

Vice President of Business Operations

Upon graduating from DePaul, Chase began his career in both business and entrepreneurism by taking on responsibility of Home Water Labs, a struggling Illinois start-up company. Home Water Labs is focused on creating awareness of the contaminants present in well water through water-testing packages for homeowners to ensure their family’s water was safe.

Achievements:
-  Partnered with a certified water testing company increasing our company’s offering of mainly bacteria to over 150 chemical compounds found in contaminated water
-  Orchestrated a reseller model with a water treatment company to offer their clients water testing services, doubling the company’s monthly revenues in the first 6 weeks of implementation
-  Transformed a small business with two years of losses to cashflow positive in ten months

Home Water Labs

President

Chase took a Summer Internship opportunity with Legatum Group, an international investment group based in Dubai that invests capital in the industries and ideas that drive global prosperity.  Chase was responsible for the development of an SME geared towards addressing the lack of access to water in rural agricultural areas of Nigeria. This internship not only shaped his knowledge of global commerce but also his passion for triple bottom line businesses.

Chase gained additional experience in the use of responsible capital for development of communities at the local level through his work with Share Microfinance, in Hyderabad, India. Chase worked directly for Share’s CEO, in all aspects of business development and operations.
