Amy Jeffries is a highly experienced manager with an extensive background in higher education. Throughout her career, she has held various positions at the University of Sheffield, including Head of Academic Practice & Skills Development, Academic Skills Manager, and Student Engagement Adviser. In her various roles, Amy has been responsible for designing, developing, and delivering services that engage students, enhance pedagogical practices, and promote retention. She has also worked in the voluntary sector, where she designed and implemented youth volunteering projects at the local, regional, and national levels.

As Head of Academic Practice & Skills Development, Amy leads a newly formed section of around 40 staff, bringing together teams to support students and academics in developing skills to aid student success and retention. She has experience designing and delivering projects that actively engage students in their learning experience, embedding the notion of student engagement into departmental, faculty, and institutional cultures, attitudes, and practices.

Amy's experience and expertise in student engagement, academic skills development, and project management make her a valuable asset to any organization. She is passionate about promoting student success, enhancing the quality of pedagogical practices, and designing services that meet the evolving needs of diverse student and staff populations.
