Brandon Shaffer is a noteworthy personality in the field of education, law, and public service. With a law degree from the University of Colorado and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Stanford University, he has accomplished a lot in his professional life. Brandon has also served the nation in the US Navy for four years and has been a licensed attorney in Colorado since 2001.

Brandon's exceptional skills and experience have led him to work as an Executive Director of Legal and Governmental Affairs, Community Outreach, and P-TECH at St. Vrain Valley Schools. In this role, he provides legal and policy analysis, business development, and Pathways in Technology Early College High Schools. He is closely involved with teachers and administrators to support educational achievement in the district.

Before joining the St. Vrain Valley School District, Brandon served as the Chairperson of the Colorado Parole Board for 2.5 years. He was also a former Colorado State Senator, representing Senate District 17, including Longmont, Erie, Lafayette, and Louisville. During his tenure, he was appointed by his peers to serve as President of the Senate from 2009-2012.
