Ettore Biagi

Dr. Ettore Biagi is an accomplished and highly experienced Paediatrician, with a specialization in hemato-oncology, boasting a rich career in both academia and clinical research.

With an MD and PhD, Dr. Biagi began his journey in pediatric medicine in 2000 and furthered his expertise through a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Cell and Gene Therapy in Houston under the mentorship of Prof. MK Brenner.

During his tenure as an Academic Researcher and later as an Associate Professor from 2005 to 2017, Dr. Biagi held significant roles, including Medical Director of the Molecular and Gene Therapy Research Unit at 'Stefano Verri' in Monza.

Notably, Dr. Biagi has extensive experience in leading experimental phase 1/2 clinical trials in cell and gene therapy, showcasing his proficiency and dedication to advancing medical research.

Transitioning to the industry, Dr. Biagi assumed the role of Oncology Clinical Development Leader at Menarini Ricerche in Italy in September 2017, before progressing to become the Medical Director of Clinical R&D Immuno-Oncology CAR-T at BMS/Celgene in Boudry, Switzerland, starting from July 2018.

In his current position, Dr. Biagi is the driving force behind the execution of CAR T B-ALL pediatric European and adult B-NHL trials, illustrating his leadership and expertise in the field.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Dr. Biagi enjoys playing classic, acoustic, and electric guitar in his spare time and cherishes his role as a father to three wonderful girls, having been happily married since 1999.
