Bo Marr, a seasoned executive and technologist, has co-founded and now serves as the Chief Technology Officer at Epirus, a cutting-edge company specializing in creating and maintaining technical discriminators. With over two decades of experience, Marr brings a wealth of expertise in high-performance computing, radio frequency (RF), digital signal processing, and artificial intelligence (AI). A holder of a Ph.D. in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Marr has led teams in developing and bringing to market disruptive technologies, winning and executing over $1.5 billion in DoD contracts such as the Navy's next-generation jammer and over $100 million in fundamental research contracts. Marr's commercial experience as part of IBM's circuit design team for Cell and Power 7/Watson processors, coupled with his expertise in neuromorphic processing, has positioned him as a renowned figure in the industry.
Before joining Epirus, Marr worked at Raytheon, where he was the Technical Director of Multifunction RF Systems, responsible for the development of innovative solutions matched to key market potentials. He also served as the Next Generation Jammer Technology Development and Hardware Demonstration Lead, Lead Architect, and Rapidly Tunable RF Design Lead. Marr has chaired the Low Power Computing Technical Exchange Group, led Real-Time Embedded Systems Engineering and Product Lead, and numerous other engineering roles. Marr has also been heavily involved in Telluride Neuromorphic Engineering Workshop and responsible for leading multiple projects involving hardware-based neural nets.
