Aaron Bowlin
Joshua Aaron Bowlin, or Alias, is a dynamic hip-hop artist who is making a name for himself in the music industry. Born in Indiana and raised in Michigan, Alias has been rapping since 1997 and draws from a wealth of life experiences, producing radio-friendly and spiritually uplifting songs in equal measure. Alias is inspired by artists ranging from Lecrae, Out Kast, and Tedashi and is working on his music while finding ways to reflect God on and off the stage. His music draws inspiration from his life, where he has battled addiction, abuse, and church hurts, and ultimately overcome these challenges. Alias possesses a unique skill set and can capably make the listener reflect on tracks like "Higher," or get any crowd moving with the dance-infused "Let's Go." Alias quotes, "just because I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a Kingdom builder, I by no means want anyone to get it twisted, I am a sinner and a human that desperately needs the loving touch of our graceful God."
Alias's accomplishments include studying Physical Sciences with a 3.4 GPA at Grand Rapids Community College. He is a Faith-Based Recording Artist at Self-employed, where he continues to produce music and spread the word of God. Alias is on a mission to motivate and help others find meaning in themselves through the love of Jesus Christ. He firmly believes in striving in his daily mission to make each day better than the last, and in doing so, encourage others that there is always hope. Anyone who sees Alias on stage knows he is an "Alias" for one of the strongest new rappers in this world of spiritual warfare.
