Foster Friess

Foster Friess is a renowned American investor, philanthropist, and entrepreneur who founded Friess Associates in 1974 with the mission to invest in rapidly growing American growth equities. He is widely recognized for his expertise in identifying lesser-known, well-financed companies that have the potential for significant growth.

Under his leadership, the firm's flagship Brandywine Fund delivered an average of 20% annual gains in the 1990s, earning recognition as one of the decade's top mutual funds. Foster's success in the investment industry earned him accolades from Forbes Magazine, business week, and CNBC for his excellent stock-picking skills.

After growing the firm to $15 billion in assets, Foster sold his company to the New York Stock Exchange listed Affiliated Managers Group in 2001.
