Arthur O'Meara has over 25 years of experience in international trade and trade compliance management, making him an accomplished national-level speaker and consultant. He holds an MBA from DePaul University in Chicago and is one of only two ICC Certified Trainers for Incoterms® 2020 Rules in the US, which highlights his unique skill set and knowledge base. Arthur's focus is on the development of compliance programs and training tailored for the corporate environment. He is an expert in the areas of import compliance/export controls, transfer pricing/valuation for international transactions, classification according to the HTSUS, service provider management, and the strategic use of Incoterms® Rules. He has managed CTPAT validations in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Arthur is a frequent speaker at conferences sponsored by different organizations such as the Alliance for Illinois Manufacturing (AIM), the American Association of Exporters and Importers (AAEI), the Small Business Development Center of the SBA (SBDC), and the National Association of Credit Managers (NACM). He is also a former president of the International Trade Association of Greater Chicago and has been designated by the US Secretary of Commerce as a member of the Illinois District Export Council.

With his vast expertise, Arthur wrote the textbook on Incoterms® 2010 Rules, which was published in September 2016 and distributed by the ICC out of Paris. His updated book on Incoterms® 2020 Rules will be released in 2021. He is a guest lecturer at DePaul University and Loyola University, among other educational institutions in the Chicagoland area.
