Jon King is a manufacturing executive who has garnered extensive international experience in managing startups and transition situations in the automotive industry. With his expertise in operating regulated environments, developing customer relationships, and identifying talent, he has built a career-starting up and leading an established TS16949 certified Tier 1 automotive supplier manufacturing operation. King is a P&L owner and is well-versed in Lean, Six Sigma, and APQP exposure. Fluent in Mandarin Chinese, he is a patient cross-cultural leader and communicator who has spearheaded the startup of many businesses in Asia.

King has studied at the Georgia Institute of Technology and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he obtained a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.S in Mechanical Engineering, as well as an MBA. He has held several leadership roles in organizations where he worked as the General Manager and Operations Manager at Dee Zee, Inc, Continuous Development Dept. Manager at 3M Ceradyne China Operations, Program Manager/ Continuous Improvement Manager-Worldwide Repair at Hamilton Sundstrand, MIT LGO Research Fellow at Sikorsky Aircraft, founded and managed Living Rock Manufacturing, and Project Manager at Central Plastics Tianjin. King has also worked as a business analyst at McKinsey & Company and as a co-op engineering trainee at NASA.
