Wayne Sutton is a highly experienced community builder, business developer, and diversity and inclusion thought leader with over 15 years of experience under his belt. He currently works as the Community Lead at Observable, a platform that helps people explore and create data visualizations. Sutton is also the founder of The Icon Project which addresses the mental health and professional development needs of Black and Brown Men in Tech. Additionally, he serves as the co-founder of Change Catalyst, working to build inclusive innovation ecosystems through training, consulting, coaching, and events. Wayne has been recognized as one of the Silicon Valley's 100 coolest people in tech, one of the 52 hottest new stars in Silicon Valley, and one of the Top 100 most influential black people on social media. His skills and expertise extend to education, storytelling, and public speaking, as he has participated in several universities and major internet and technology-focused conferences, such as Stanford, Duke, TEDx, and South By South West. He has been featured in various media outlets such as TechCrunch, USA Today, and Forbes, among others, where he shares his thoughts on solutions and culture concerning diversity and inclusion in the tech industry.
