Austin Clements is a seasoned business leader, entrepreneur, and investor with a diverse background in management consulting, venture capital, wealth management, and digital media. He has an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and a BA from Morehouse College. He is currently a partner at Slauson & Co., a venture capital firm focused on investing in diverse founders, and a board member at Grid110, a non-profit economic development organization dedicated to supporting early-stage entrepreneurs in South LA.
Previously, he served as the Managing Director of South LA at Grid110, where he helped build a robust startup ecosystem and worked with emerging startups to secure funding and resources. He was also the Chair of PledgeLA at Annenberg Foundation, a coalition of LA-based tech companies, venture firms, and civic leaders committed to creating diverse and inclusive workplaces. Additionally, he was a Principal, Senior Associate, and Associate at TenOneTen Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm, and a Kauffman Fellow - Class 25 at Kauffman Fellows.
Austin's expertise in business and entrepreneurship is vast, covering emerging tech, media, venture capital, and economic development. He has experience in consulting and wealth management, having worked at various firms like Creative Artists Agency and Bernstein Global Wealth Management. His entrepreneurial experience is evident from his previous role as CEO of Pi Digital Media Group.
