Jeff Schmidt is a seasoned legal professional with a diverse educational background and a wealth of experience in corporate law, compliance, and finance.

Currently, Jeff serves as the Senior Director, Associate General Counsel (Corporate & Compliance) and Assistant Secretary at HashiCorp, bringing his expertise in legal matters and corporate governance to the company.

Prior to his role at HashiCorp, Jeff held key positions at renowned organizations. He worked as the Principal Counsel - Corporate Law at Apple, showcasing his proficiency in handling complex legal issues within a corporate setting.

Before his tenure at Apple, Jeff served as the Senior Counsel and Counsel, accumulating valuable experience in legal advisory and compliance matters.

His professional journey also includes a role as a Legal Counsel at Zynga, where he further honed his expertise in the legal aspects of the gaming industry.

Jeff's early career saw him in the role of Corporate Associate specializing in Securities, Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Private Equity at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP, demonstrating his versatility in various legal domains.

Before transitioning to the legal field, Jeff gained experience as a Financial Accounting Consultant at Shiningbank Energy Ltd., showcasing his multidisciplinary skills and knowledge.
