Justin Shaffer is an accomplished entrepreneur, technologist, and sailor who has made a name for himself in the tech, media, and sailing industries. He is the Managing Partner of Public Studio, a technology investment firm, and currently manages special projects for the 11th Hour Racing Team where he utilizes his expertise in technology and sailing to develop strategies that give the team a competitive edge in the Ocean Race.

Justin began his career as Systems Engineer at Screaming Media before he took on a series of operations, technology, and managerial roles at Major League Baseball (MLB). At MLB, he served as SVP of New Media and led the team that built MLB.TV, the online streaming service that transformed the way people consume sports content. He later founded Hot Potato, which was acquired by Facebook in 2010 where he worked as a Director of Product and led the development of Groups, Video, Places, and Events.

Justin is an alumnus of Inglemoor High School and Stuyvesant High School, where he honed his academic and leadership skills. In his free time, Justin is an avid sailor, chef, skier, and pilot, who enjoys taking on new challenges and learning new things.
