Travis Miles
Travis Miles is an accomplished Assistant Professor with a strong research background focusing on the study of ocean-atmosphere interactions, particularly exploring the influence of the ocean on hurricane intensity and conducting evaluations of offshore wind resources.
He completed his Ph.D. in Oceanography with a specialization in Physical Oceanography from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey-New Brunswick. Additionally, he holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Physical Oceanography from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Marine Sciences from the same institution.
Travis Miles has held various roles in academic and research organizations. Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor at Rutgers University. He previously worked as an Assistant Research Professor, Postdoctoral Research Associate, Graduate Research Assistant at Rutgers University, and also undertook roles as a Graduate Student at North Carolina State University and an Intern at Mote Marine Laboratory.
