Dan Wertheimer is a data-driven executive with over 20 years of management experience and market analysis. He specializes in managing high-performing teams and investments, providing unique insights and leadership to accelerate company growth and achieve market success.

Prior to becoming Chief Strategy Officer at When Insurance, Wertheimer served as Senior Director of Innovation at Target, where he developed and led a portfolio of investment opportunities, including Target's + Techstars Retail Accelerator, Target's global enterprise accelerator program, Target's Incubator, Target's emerging brand accelerator, and the retail accelerator partnership between Target and Metro. He built Target's foundational strategy for its digital marketplace, currently a top priority for the company, and was responsible for bringing innovation strategies and change execution to the core business.

Before joining Target, Wertheimer worked at Sagence, a management consulting firm focused on data management and analytics. During his time there, he advised and led some of the world's leading retailers, investment banks, financial services firms, and institutional brokers on the acquisition, evaluation, development, and management of their critical data assets.

Wertheimer has also held positions at Discover Financial Services, BlackArch Partners, Kottke Associates, Breakwater Trading, and Refco. He received a Master of Business Administration from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and studied communications at Northwestern University.
