Jane Palmer, an accomplished entrepreneur and product development specialist, has been recognized by the National Science Foundation as a grant recipient in 2016. Her expertise in entrepreneurship, business growth, and acquisition are matched by her enthusiasm for sustainable materials, environmentalism, and improving the health of our communities. A graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where she earned an MFA in textiles, fiber, and material studies, and of Appalachian State University, where she earned her BFA in textiles, Palmer is a passionate advocate for product development through customer discovery, research, invention, supply chain development, and customer relationships. She is also CEO of Nature Coatings Inc., the founder of NOON by Jane Palmer/Noon Design Studio, and a former faculty member at the Art Institute of California and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has been involved in many organizations that promote the advancement of the arts, sustainability, and education, including HAVE, Cream co, and Noon Solar LLC.
