Kara Ortbal is a highly accomplished program manager with extensive experience in employee experience and human resource management. With years of experience in both academia and the tech industry, Kara brings a unique perspective to her work, continually updating her knowledge base and applying best practices to optimize employee experience programs.
Kara's academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities for Teaching from Seattle University, a Certificate in Human Resources Essentials from the University of Washington, and a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from the University of Southern California.
Currently, Kara is a Program Manager II for Employee Experience at Uber, where her role is to optimize employee satisfaction and engagement. Prior to her Program Manager position, Kara was an Engineering Program Coordinator at Uber.
Before stepping into the tech industry, Kara worked in academia, where she was a student event coordinator and peer health educator at Seattle University Wellness & Health Promotion. She was also a therapy assistant at Jigsaw Junction.
