Daniele Cesano is a highly accomplished expert in the fields of water and natural resources engineering, environmental engineering, and regenerative agriculture. With a Ph.D. from KTH, Stockholm, he has worked as a project developer at the Inter-American Development Bank. He has founded and managed two companies, Onda Verde and Adapta Group, which focus on implementing regenerative agriculture practices at scale. Additionally, he founded RIGENERA Eps, an Italian NGO promoting awareness and development of sustainable agriculture techniques.

As a regenerative farmer in Rio de Janeiro state, Daniele applies permaculture and agroforestry techniques on his 10-hectare farm to produce organic tropical fruits. Daniele is renowned for leading the development, testing, and implementation of the "MAIS Program," which has been implemented in over 850 family farms across Brazil's different biomes.

Daniele Cesano received laurels for his significant contributions. He received the Celso Furtado Prize from the Brazilian Ministry of National Integration in 2013 and was awarded at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) MOMENTUM FOR CHANGE at COP 24 in Katowice, Poland, for his contribution to advancing the MAIS Program.
