TechGirlz is a program of the non-profit, @Creating It Futures. TechGirlz inspires girls to explore the possibilities of technology. We offer free workshops to get girls interested in different kinds of technology, show them varied career options, and connect them with professionals in technology fields. Alicia Park is an experienced educator with a strong passion for education technology, STEM and empowering young girls to explore the possibilities of working with technology. As national outreach manager for TechGirlz, she works with volunteers and other organizations to help them bring the free technology based workshops (or TechShopz in a Box- <a href="http://techgirlz.org/techshopz-in-a-box">techgirlz.org/techshopz-in-a-box</a>) to new communities across the U.S. She also manages the TechGirlz blog (<a href="http://techgirlz.org/blog">techgirlz.org/blog</a>), where you can check out the latest news on TechGirlz or read about their volunteers’ experiences with the organization.

National Outreach Manager, TechGirlz

As the National Outreach Manager, I'm primarily responsible for assisting the National Director in developing and executing outreach goals, objectives, and an annual plan for TechGirlz growth. I coordinate National workshops with the dedicated volunteers and organizations interested in partnering to spread the mission, assist in the instructional design of the TechShopz in a Box curriculum, and manage the website blog. In my curriculum role, I am responsible for assisting in the development, revisions, quality control, and production of the curricula. In my role as the Blog Coordinator, I'm responsible for assigning and confirming writers, proofreading drafts, writing introductions/some content and publishing blog posts to <a href="http://TechGirlz.org">TechGirlz.org</a>. Through these roles, I am able to help fulfill the TechGirlz mission to inspire middle school girls to explore the possibilities of technology to empower their future careers.

Curriculum and Outreach

As a GVE English Tutor, I provide exceptional online English lessons to Chinese children via a video conferencing tool, ZOOM. I deliver unique, engaging and innovative e-Learning lessons using GVE-provided teaching materials, resources and techniques.

- Help to advance the TechGirlz mission to inspire middle school girls to explore the possibilities of technology to empower their future careers by organizing and volunteering at workshops and developing TechShopz in a Box and updating existing resources.•Attend TechGirlz live workshops and work with the Instructor to create Workshop Plans for TechShopz in a Box™ program, a free open source library of tech topics. •Meet bi-weekly with other Curriculum Development team members, via conference call, to discuss new TechShopz in development and upcoming events.
