Oleg Gusev is a highly-accomplished Research Scientist in the field of Molecular Genetics, with a focus on medical genomic diagnostics and genomics of unique adaptations. He holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Zoology from Kazan State University, as well as a PhD in Molecular Biology from Okayama University. Gusev has held various academic and research positions throughout his career, including serving as an Adjunct Associate Professor at JUNTENDO UNIVERSITY, Unit Leader of the KFU-RIKEN Joint Unit "Translational Genomics" at RIKEN, and Senior Researcher and Manager at RIKEN. He has also held positions as a Visiting Research Professor at Kazan Federal University, an Invited Project Researcher at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, and a Research Scientist at NIAS. Gusev has expertise in molecular genetics, high-throughput sequencing technology, water-free preservation of living tissues and cells, genome-wide mRNA expression analysis, proteomics, and metabolomics.
