Ann-Maree David, a highly experienced and accomplished lawyer, has a career spanning over 30 years in various roles, including as a solicitor in private practice, in the corporate sector, and in the public sector. She has dedicated herself to the education and professional development of lawyers throughout her career. Her passion for life-long learning led to her directing the professional development program of the Queensland Law Society, where she oversaw the delivery of continuing legal education to a diverse audience, ranging from trainees to accredited specialists across the state.

Ann-Maree also established and directs the Queensland campus of the Australian College of Law, which has become Queensland's foremost provider of practical legal training. She has an outstanding record of outstanding professional and community contributions and has worked towards fostering the next generation of lawyers, promoting gender and minority rights in the legal profession, and developing programs to enhance the resilience of lawyers.

Ann-Maree's current research interests revolve around the evolving professional identity of lawyers throughout their careers and the future of legal work. Ann-Maree is a recipient of the Queensland Law Society's Agnes McWhinney Award, which recognizes outstanding professional or community contribution by a woman lawyer.

She is Immediate Past President of Australian Women Lawyers, Vice President of the Women Lawyers Association of Queensland, and a Foundation Director of the Australian Gender Equality Council. Her leadership roles provide a valuable platform for influencing change within the profession. She has also worked alongside senior practitioners, academics, and judges who have given their time and energy freely to develop others in the profession.

Ann-Maree's educational background includes a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from Griffith University, a Master of Education from Queensland University of Technology, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from Queensland University of Technology, and a Master of Laws from Queensland University of Technology. She has also studied at Stanford University and completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors' Company Directors Course.
