Kenny Lackey, formerly the Director of Operations at Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC), is an innovative and experienced professional with expertise in improving operations, recruiting top talent, asset planning, vendor management, team coaching, and mentoring, budgeting & forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration. Having earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Mary Washington College and a Master of Theological Studies in Philosophy, Theology, and Ethics from Boston University, Lackey has developed a keen sense of leadership and entrepreneurship, which was a fundamental attribute for his successful stint at CIC.

During his time at CIC, Lackey was responsible for managing operations for the company's largest site outside of its Cambridge headquarters. As an interim General Manager, he held several key responsibilities, including team management and leadership, assets and inventory, capital projects, property management, client-facing engagement, and community building both internal and with key partners towards a better and more robust Cortex district.

Lackey's ability to leverage his education, creativity, and exceptional leadership skills to drive success resulted in many successes for the growing company. His achievements include developing operational processes to improve efficiency, and increase client satisfaction, revamping the community's engagement strategies, and leading critical projects that revitalized struggling areas. In addition, Lackey nurtured essential partnerships between CIC and other organizations in the Cortex district, including investors, startups, and key stakeholders, ultimately achieving overarching business development goals.

Outside of CIC, Lackey has held several other notable professional roles, including being a Farm Manager at Laughing Stock Farm, an Interim Farm Manager at Waverly Farms, a Rock Climbing Instructor at Boston University, and an EnergyCorps Volunteer at National Center for Appropriate Technology.
