Gregor Thuswaldner
Gregor Thuswaldner is a distinguished scholar and academic leader with a vast and varied background in higher education. He currently serves as the Provost and Executive Vice President at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington, and previously held the position of Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Humanities at North Park University in Chicago. Thuswaldner is also the president of the Austrian Studies Association, an important scholarly organization devoted to the study of Austrian history, culture, and society. He has been recognized as a fellow of several prestigious organizations, including the Royal Historical Society and the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce. As a writer and editor, Thuswaldner has published extensively on topics ranging from literature and language to religion and higher education. His most recent book, co-edited with Gitta Hofrichter, is Thomas Bernhard's Afterlives, published by Bloomsbury in 2020.
