Jacob Hartman is a DevOps engineer with a diverse technical background, ranging from math and physics to full-stack web development. Rather than pursuing a traditional university education, Jacob founded and managed a non-profit water polo club before finding his passion in computer science. Attending Holberton School was a pivotal moment in his career transition.

His expertise in Operations includes being certified as a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Professional Cloud Architect, proficient in administering Linux systems like Red Hat and Ubuntu, and skilled in using tools such as Terraform, AWS, GCP, Jenkins, Docker, and Puppet. Jacob is also adept at Bash and Python scripting in a Linux environment.

On the Development front, Jacob is well-versed in Python and C, with a preference for building web applications using Python, Flask, MySQL, SQLAlchemy, Nginx, and HAProxy. He follows the Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach and is experienced in version control using Git. Jacob's ability to quickly learn new languages and frameworks is evident in his work with JavaScript, Express, Node, Jinja, jQuery, Swift, Vapor, and Fluent.
