Crystal Yeh
Crystal Yeh is a New York City native currently based in San Francisco, with extensive experience in clean energy policy and regulation. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies and Chinese Language and Literature from City University of New York-Hunter College, and completed a Certificate in Environmental Science and Chinese at Nanjing University. Yeh also studied at Princeton University in Beijing Normal University as well as Johns Hopkins University, where she earned her Master of Science in Energy Policy and Climate from the Advanced Academic Programs.
Yeh's expertise is in utilities, grid modernization, electricity, natural gas, energy data, climate change policy, energy technology, GHG trading policies, energy efficiency, GIS, and China. She is passionate about driving forward policies and technologies that will enable a carbon-free, sustainable future. Yeh is fluent in Mandarin Chinese, having studied and worked alongside British and Malaysian colleagues in Beijing. In addition to her policy work, she is also a self-described "massive energy nerd" and general policy wonk.
Yeh has held a variety of roles across the clean energy sector, including as a Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst at the California Public Utilities Commission, an Analyst at Monitor 360, and a Breakthrough Generation Fellow at The Breakthrough Institute. She has also served as a member of the Hunter College Sustainability Council's Green Initiative Fund Grant Making Committee and as a Public Policy & International Affairs (PPIA) Fellow at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs.
Other experiences include roles as a Research Assistant at The Carbon Trust and World Resources Institute, a Climate Leader at The Climate Reality Project, an Intern at Sealed, a Campaign Leader at New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG), and as a Teacher's Assistant at Mega Academy.
