Gomathi Ramachandran is a Lead Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Labs, where she designs innovative and data-driven solutions to complex technical problems. She is a customer-focused innovator with a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from Cornell University, where she modeled semi-classical dynamical collisions of ions with molecules in the upper atmosphere. Her postdoctoral work involved modeling the abstract dynamics of supercooled DNA.

Gomathi has excelled in identifying customer needs for network performance and availability and devising measurement strategies implemented over very large-scale networks. She has led large, cross-organizational technical teams and is the co-holder of 5 US patents and several IETF standards in this area. She is the recipient of AT&T’s prestigious Science and Technology Medal.

Outside of work, she enjoys mountain biking with her husband and training her golden retrievers. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from Bangalore University and a Master of Science degree in Organic Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Gomathi has a wealth of knowledge and skills that have contributed to her success.
