As a Visiting Researcher and Steering Group Member at the University of Cambridge Centre for Human Inspired Artificial Intelligence, I foster interdisciplinary collaborations to drive data-driven AI innovations for global health with a focus on disease prevention.

Previously, at the Global Diet and Activity Research (GDAR) Network within the MRC Epidemiology Unit I investigated links between rapid urbanization, climate change and health in African cities with a focus on public spaces, multi-sectoral interventions and addressing the behavioural risk factors for chronic diseases.

The COP26 Visions for a Net-Zero Future project was facilitated by the UK government in its role as COP26 President to showcase and celebrate research and innovation which could support the global transition to a climate-resilient, net-zero future. The project, led by University of Cambridge and Deloitte developed six ‘visions’ of this future, each focusing on a different region around the world. I provided evidence synthesis expertise to integrate various pieces of evidence from Kenyan experts into enabling scenarios for a net-zero future

Worked on an exploratory research brief focused on providing and analyzing case studies of innovation to address human and planetary health in emerging economies including Rwanda, China, Ghana, Peru, and Thailand. I worked with Canada's Research Chair in Childhood Disabilities, Dr. Shikako-Thomas on implementation research and knowledge translation around building healthy and inclusive communities in line with the Sustainable Development Goals. This included i) synthesizing knowledge gained from community based participatory research children ii) organizing policy dialogues with decision makers to deliver the evidence iii) measuring inequities in access to opportunities for physical activity and exploring their relationship to neighbourhood deprivation iv) understanding the role of digital health in improve access to health promotion information and contributing to a systematic review on place-based interventions for inclusive health promotion.

The Colorado Medical Legal Partnership was created to remove the legal barriers, which low-income residents of Denver, Colorado face in accessing the social determinants of health, especially healthcare. 
My key responsibilities included:
-	Reviewing and synthesizing the literature on best practices in Medical Legal Partnership operations
- Conducting a gap analysis and process evaluation of the Colorado Medical Legal Partnership
- Design, implementation and analysis of a qualitative cross-sectional study based on community engagement principles and in consultation with key medical and legal stakeholders in the project
- Creating recommendations based on the evidence base, best practices and stakeholder consultations and presenting this to stakeholders and public health academia

- I contributed to knowledge generation through conducting an analytical research project on urban health development and challenges in megacities.
- I planned, facilitated and generated correspondence on the consultation meeting on Healthy Urban Planning.
- I collaborated with diverse range of stakeholders such as academia, civil society, government, urban
planners and policy makers on this occasion to proffer policy recommendations for a broad range of
actors in improving health through healthy urban planning

I was responsible for management and completion of a province wide study investigating the role of genetic polymorphisms and lifestyle risk factors in epithelial ovarian cancer carcinogenesis. My duties included;
-Supervising and assigning work to interviewers and research clerks
	Facilitating the monthly meetings of the study team.
	Addressing public inquiries about the study.
	Data entry, management, cleaning and processing of study information.
	Contacting study participants, maintaining systems and schedules for sending reminders and follow-up surveys to participants.
	Coordinating receipt, logging and inventory of incoming study materials; setting up and maintaining organizational systems for the storage and retrieval of study materials on-site.

- I created a collaboration between Edinburgh University and community groups in rural Cameroun to pioneer a preventive anti-malaria campaign in village communities in Cameroun through the umbrella of the University.
- My programme management skills were avidly demonstrated in this capacity through involvement in
strategic planning and coordinating meetings of diverse stakeholders involved in the project.
- I created an analytical and conceptual action plan for project implementation.
- I trained the volunteers who would play a part in implementing the preventive campaign.
- I initiated an innovative approach to meeting the funding targets necessary to make the programme
feasible through initiating a fundraiser which mobilized the students and broader community of Edinburgh and thus enabled funding targets to be met.

Served as a research assistant for doctoral candidate Megan Puchniak, in the ecology laboratory of Professor Roland Hall. My main role was to process sediment samples with the end goal of investigating the origin, transformation and deposition of sediments in Lake Bosomtwe/Bosumtwi (Ghana, West Africa). This informed recommendations to protect the ecosystem and human populations from the impacts of climate change. I demonstrated administrative and quantitative research skills through performing analysis of lake sediment cores on a project investigating the origin, deposition and transformation of sediments in Lake Bosumtwi Ghana as a way to predict and thus mitigate the socioeconomic effects of drought.

-	Administrative and management skills avidly demonstrated in this capacity through;
-	Making decisions on how to effectively administer scholarships, grants, and bursaries with the aim of improving the academic experience of science students.
-	Organizing events for the Faculty of the Science such as the awards night, and “student-prof.” night.

Biomedical science director

-I pioneered a novel health promotion campaign aimed at engaging medical and allied medical practitioners in proper disposal of medical waste in order to protect the urban poor from contracting disease by mitigating indiscriminate dumping of medical wastes. This involved visiting medical facilities in the state to liaise with them and sign them up for the new programme which would properly dispose of highly infectious medical wastes. My tact and conflict resolution skills were aptly exercised in breaking down resistance of the medical practitioners to government programmes which had a previous history of being unreliable. I also monitored the private sector participants that were contracted to handle medical waste to ensure and demand efficient execution of their duties.
