Rick Ryan is a seasoned business leader with extensive experience in Venture Capital, Entrepreneurial start-ups, Board Governance, Business strategy/General Management, and Life Science innovation/technology development. Rick holds an MBA degree in Business Administration/Marketing from Washington University in St. Louis, a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois, and a BS in Chemistry from Central College. He is a General Partner at Cultivation Capital Life Sciences, where he focuses on helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses through investment and strategic support. Previously, Rick served as CEO of Apertus Pharmaceuticals, President of The Winfield Group, Vice President of the Drug Discovery Business Unit at Millipore, President of Linco Research, and Vice President of Global Commercial Development at Embrex. Before that, he held various Director and Manager level positions at Monsanto. With his vast experience and expertise, Rick has a keen insight into the life science industry and how it intersects with business and technology.
