Gabby Ambayec

Gabby Ambayec is a third-year undergraduate student at the University of California, Berkeley, majoring in Molecular Environmental Biology with a focus on Human Health & Environment. Additionally, Gabby is pursuing a minor in Global Poverty & Practice. Their academic interests lie in environmental justice, environmental health sciences, and molecular biology.

For almost two years, Gabby has served as the Environmental Justice Associate at Berkeley's Student Environmental Resource Center, where they lead the Environmental Justice Coalition in advocating for the integration of environmental justice into climate advocacy efforts on campus. They are also actively involved in UC Berkeley's Pilipinx/Pilipinx-American community as the Advocacy Coordinator for Pilipinx Academic Student Services (PASS), working towards providing resources and support for Pilipinx/Pilipinx-American undergraduate students.

Gabby's professional experience includes roles as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Madsen Lab within UC Berkeley School of Public Health, and as the Pilipino Undergraduate Medical Program Co-Coordinator at the Pilipino Association for Health Careers-UC Berkeley. They have also held positions as the Vice Executive Intern and Pilipino Undergraduate Mission Program Intern at the same association.
