Katie Lipton is a creative and versatile communicator with over a decade of experience in advertising, public relations, and communications strategy. She has worked with clients from various industries such as higher education, sports, hospitality, fashion, startup, government, nonprofit, and healthcare. As a skilled storyteller, Katie's writing is compelling and engaging, and she has significant expertise in journalism, marketing, graphic design, and social media. Katie has a Master's degree in Advertising and a minor in Sports Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor's degree in History with a minor in Studio Art from the University of Virginia.
Katie currently works as a Freelance Copywriter and Communications Strategist at Self-Employed, and her previous experience includes serving as the Communications Director at Center for Liquefied Natural Gas and Freelance Sports Writer at Self-Employed. She has also worked as a Teaching Assistant for Public Relations at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as an intern in creative (copywriting/art direction) at LatinWorks and as a legal assistant at Steptoe & Johnson LLP.
