Prateek Tandon
Prateek Tandon is an accomplished robotics and machine learning expert, with a focus on cutting-edge research and development in the fields of automation, computer vision, bioinformatics, and AI. With a Ph.D. in Robotics from Carnegie Mellon University and extensive postdoctoral experience at UC San Diego and UC San Francisco, Tandon has worked across various domains, from genomic sequencing to cancer research to climate tech. Tandon's expertise lies in developing machine learning and AI methods at the forefront of technology to optimize science and create futuristic technology that solves real-world problems.
Tandon has held senior software engineering and bioinformatics scientist roles at Roche, Roswell Biotechnologies, and Bionano Genomics. Additionally, Tandon has held various positions as a consultant, director, and researcher at several top-tier institutions, including SRI International, CMU Auton Lab, and USC Viterbi School of Engineering. Tandon is also a co-author of a book on Quantum Robotics and has helped to develop critical climate tech solutions to address global warming. Tandon is passionate about teaching computer science globally and building software for persons with disabilities.
