Luiz Sodré is a Brazilian-born agricultural and resource economist with extensive experience in farming, strategic advisory, and structured finance. He pursued his bachelor's degree in Animal Science at Universidade de São Paulo and went on to complete his master's degree in Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of California, Davis. He is also a graduate of Stephen M. Ross School of Business, University of Michigan where he completed his MBA.

Luiz Sodré has been actively involved in various organizations, including Perfarm, an agricultural technology company that he co-founded. He has also worked as an MBA Student Consultant at International Paper and as an Assistant to Chief Innovation Officer at Alltech, an animal health and nutrition company. Before that, he was a Structured Finance & Capital Markets Associate and a Strategic Advisory Analyst at Rabobank International Brazil. His experience also includes stints as a teaching assistant at UC Davis Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics and as a visiting scholar researcher at University of California, Davis.
