Eric Wright is a highly accomplished aviation professional hailing from Oklahoma, with an impressive track record in engineering, technical management, and aircraft certification. With a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, Wright's expertise spans from being a project engineer at MarathonNorco Aerospace to his most recent role as the Head of Certification at Archer. Along with his background in mechanical engineering, Wright has also studied communication/information systems management, computer science, and engineering and technology management at the Community College of the Air Force, Bowling Green State University, and Oklahoma State University, respectively.
Wright has a long list of accomplishments in the industry, including being the first person to certify Garmin Emergency Autoland (HALO) on a Part 23 aircraft. He has also collaborated on certification for various aircraft, such as the Piper M600, Cirrus SF-50 Vision Jet, and Eclipse EA500, providing his expertise as a Senior Director of Certification and Compliance at Piper Aircraft. Before joining Piper, Wright was a Flight Test Engineer/Structures Engineer at the Federal Aviation Administration and a Lead Structures Engineer at Cirrus Aircraft.
