Dimitris Kalavros-Gousiou
Dimitris Kalavros-Gousiou is a Greek entrepreneur and venture capitalist who has made significant contributions to the country's startup ecosystem. As the co-founder of Velocity.Partners, a pre-seed and seed venture capital fund that operates in Greece and SEE, Kalavros-Gousiou invests in and supports startups working at the intersection of technology, culture, and new media. He is also the founder and curator of TEDxAthens, a platform for sharing ideas, innovation, and dialogue in Greece.
Before founding Velocity.Partners, Kalavros-Gousiou co-founded Found.ation, which is the leading startup acceleration and innovation hub in the Balkans, TechTalent School, a coding school and TechTalent Pool, a recruiting SaaS for developers. He also served as the SME Independent Expert at the European Commission, where he championed initiatives that fostered entrepreneurship and innovation.
Kalavros-Gousiou holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Kent and an LLM in Computer and Communications Law from the Queen Mary University of London. He is widely recognized for his entrepreneurial expertise and his contributions to Greece's startup ecosystem.
