Ian Gerstein is a highly experienced professional in the retail recruitment industry. With over 20 years in the fashion business, including running his own company and being the MD of an international company with subsidiaries in Germany, Ireland, and America, Ian is now leading the London Division at Mandeville Retail Recruitment. Mandeville is one of the leading UK retail recruitment specialists, with its two UK offices recruiting both internationally and nationally for a broad range of clients, from high street food retailers to luxury fashion houses. Ian's London Division specialises in the fashion, luxury, and hospitality sectors and is the recruitment partner for a range of fashion retailers, luxury brands, and branded restaurant groups. Ian's team of recruiters each have worked in their specific sector and have a real understanding of the skills necessary to be successful in a role.

Ian has experience in recruiting across different levels of retail positions, including store operations' roles such as area manager, store manager, deputy manager, and sales consultant, as well as retail head office positions such as buying, E-commerce, HR, merchandising, logistics and supply chain, IT, and finance. Recent projects Ian has worked on include retained assignments of new store openings and recruiting successfully for all positions, as well as the recruitment of a store management team for a global fashion house across the UK, Europe, and the U.S.

Ian's specialties include recruitment and executive recruitment within the retail sector, talent planning and recognition, team management, budget management, and client liaison. Before joining Mandeville, Ian was a Managing Consultant at Randstad Retail, a retail recruitment consultancy, and also worked as a Retail Manager at The Buzz, which is part of Ochre House, one of the largest privately-owned recruitment groups in the UK. Ian studied at John Lyon School Harrow and earned a Bsc (Econ) Hons in Business from Cardiff University.
