Merrick Henry
Merrick Henry is an accomplished graphic design professor with a wealth of experience in the field. He has dedicated his career to teaching and inspiring the next generation of designers, having taught at various institutions such as the University of Maryland, Kansas City Art Institute, and Johnson County Community College. From 2004 to 2014, he served as a full-time professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he helped initiate the online program for the graphic design department and taught online courses for the last 10 years.
Henry specializes in typographic development, digital page design, experiential design, and branding. He has served on committees dealing with admissions initiatives, departmental campaigns, and leadership programs. He is also a former Subject Matter Expert for Southern New Hampshire University and course content developer for numerous online institutions. Additionally, Henry is a consultant and designer to various organizations including Carefree Iowa and Hallmark Cards.
Henry received his Bachelor's Degree in Visual Arts from Kansas Wesleyan University and his Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) in Design and Visual Communications from Kansas State University. He continues to inspire, mentor, and create through his extensive experience in graphic design and teaching.
