After completing her studies in Marketing at The Katharine Gibbs School and Creative Writing at Santa Monica College, Surayyah kickstarted her professional journey. She has held several positions at media giant Viacom, including Executive Assistant, Jr. and Sr. Publicist, Media Liason, and Event Planner.
At Verizon Media, Surayyah serves as Manager for Engagement, Culture, and Employee Communications, where she is focused on fostering a positive work culture that values inclusivity and diversity. She is also a former Executive Assistant at Verizon, go90 at Verizon. Surayyah has been an accomplished Freelance Publicist/PR Professional and Event Planner with her own company Surayyah Tatum Public Relations. In her free time, she follows her passion for vegan/plant-based cooking, wellness/mindfulness, and a holistic lifestyle.
