Burak Büyükdemir

Burak Büyükdemir is a prominent figure in the Turkish startup ecosystem, known for founding Startup Turkey, Startup Istanbul, and Etohum, a renowned accelerator and seed investor in Turkey. With a strong focus on fostering entrepreneurship, Etohum annually selects, mentors, and seed invests in 40 startups, having already supported over 100 startups. Burak's initiatives, like 'Startup Turkey' and 'Startup Istanbul,' serve as platforms for startups to pitch to investors and connect with internet ecosystems across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Prior to his entrepreneurial pursuits, he gained ten years of experience in financial and technology sectors, authored a book on internet startup stories in Turkey, and shared his knowledge as a part-time lecturer at Istanbul Technical University and Bahcesehir University.
