Jonathan Morgan is an accomplished and experienced independent fund director and trustee with a long-standing career in alternative investments. He provides fund advisory and governance services to investment managers with complex investment strategies, with a focus on offshore private funds in the Cayman Islands and Bermuda, Delaware limited partnerships, Irish ICAVs, and US 40 Act funds (RICs). Morgan possesses extensive market and risk experience, having worked for almost ten years as a hedge fund strategist, trader, and portfolio manager. He also spent almost ten years supervising research platforms at three large fund of hedge funds as a due diligence specialist in alternative strategies, many of which were going through restructures and dealing with complicated issues. He is a Registered Professional Director in the Cayman Islands and an approved director by the Central Bank of Ireland. Morgan earned his Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, his Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School with coursework in Ethics, and attended Princeton University. He currently serves as the Managing Member / Principal at Sound Fund Advisors LLC and has held previous senior positions at UBP Asset Management, Barclays Global Investors, Julius Baer Investment Management, Parallax Capital Management, Caxton Associates, Morgan Stanley, and Goldman Sachs.
