Raul Pacheco-Vega

Raul Pacheco-Vega is a seasoned researcher, educator, and consultant specializing in comparative public policy, particularly in the realms of environment and sustainability. With a robust background in natural science, engineering, business, and social science research, he boasts over 25 years of experience. He is proficient in English, Spanish, and French, having worked in various countries including Canada, the US, Mexico, England, Spain, and France.

Raul's research interests span a wide array of topics including research methods, mixed methods, ethnography, field experiments, public policy, environmental policy, comparative environmental politics, policy analysis, urban sustainability, water governance, pollution control, environmental policy instruments, and transnational environmental governance.

His educational journey includes pursuing a PhD in Resource Management and Environmental Studies, as well as completing an MBA/MEng program focusing on Strategic Management, Technology Management, Environmental, and Mining Engineering, both at The University of British Columbia.

Throughout his career, Raul has held influential positions in notable organizations. Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor at the Methods Lab at Facultad Latinoamericana De Ciencias Sociales Sede Ecuador. Previously, he worked as an Assistant Professor in the Public Administration Division at Centro De Investigación Y Docencia Económicas A.C., and held the role of Regional Director and Western Canada Lead Researcher for Water And Climate Change at the Canadian Institute For Environmental Law And Policy. Raul has also been a Senior Partner at Hb Strategies and a Lecturer in the Department Of Political Science at The University Of British Columbia.
