Luthien Niland, a Northern California Rising Star recipient in 2019, 2020, and 2021, is a Senior Attorney at Archetype Legal, where she provides legal advice and assistance to startups and small businesses in navigating corporate law, capital raising, compliance, and other legal issues. With over ten years of experience in the restaurant industry, Luthien has a unique perspective and understanding of the food and beverage industry, and she leverages her knowledge to help restaurants, bars, and food producers. Additionally, Luthien assists cannabis companies, technology ventures, and socially-conscious entrepreneurs in determining the best course of action for their success, whether that be forming a non-profit organization, benefit corporation, or fiscal sponsorship. Luthien earned a B.S. in Geography and Environmental Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a J.D. in Environmental Law from Golden Gate University School of Law. She has also held various positions, such as Development Associate at Aldo Leopold Nature Center, Senior Associate Attorney at Bend Law Group, PC, Law School Teaching Assistant at Golden Gate University School of Law, and Legal Intern at Sierra Club, among others.
