Ali Guryel
Ali Guryel is a distinguished software inventor and entrepreneur with a particular focus on developing innovative technology solutions for schools. With a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from London South Bank University and an MSc in Computer Science from Imperial College London, he has the technical expertise to create groundbreaking software products. Ali rose to prominence through his invention of a low-cost, total solution for attendance recording in schools, using little-known wireless technology to create a revolutionary system called EARS, which evolved into wNET and then later to e-School, now a school-wide system serving various functions beyond attendance like messaging, alert, grade collection, behaviour recording, and parent contact. His invention won numerous prestigious awards, including the Queen's Award for Enterprise, Invention of the Year 1993, BETT Gold award in 1994 and many more. Ali now serves as Chairman & Managing Director at Bromcom Computers Plc, a company he founded to develop educational software solutions. He has formerly worked as a Software Project Leader at Scicon Consultancy Ltd and as a Project Engineer/Development Engineer at GEC Marconi Process Instruments Ltd.
