Daniel Burka, Director of Product and Design at Vital Strategies, is making an immense impact on global health care. With a passion for reducing deaths from heart disease and stroke in low and middle income countries, he works on the Resolve to Save Lives initiative to achieve a goal of saving 100M lives in the next 30 years. Burka brings his expertise to the Simple.org project, designing an electronic medical record that can streamline health care and improve patient outcomes. He studied History at the University of Toronto and the University of Prince Edward Island. Prior to his work at Vital Strategies, Burka co-founded Silverorange, a web design firm, and volunteered at Project N95.
