Throughout his career, Perez has held various senior engineering and security architecture positions at top-tier companies, including Qualcomm, Apple, and RSA. He is an expert in encryption and cryptography, PKI, security architecture, digital rights management, smart cards, and embedded systems. Perez is also highly skilled in 3D design and printing and robotics.

Aside from his professional experience, Perez is the founder, CEO, and chief tinkering officer of The STEAM Train, a non-profit organization that aims to inspire and educate young people in STEAM fields.
