Christopher George

Christopher George, 66, is a highly experienced surveyor with over thirty years of expertise in the field of timber decay, specializing in dry rot, wet rot, insect attack, and dampness in buildings.

He has provided expert opinions in countless cases over the last three decades, partnering with renowned solicitors such as Denton Hall, Herbert Smith, McKenna & Co., and Berrymans, among others.

Christopher has testified in Court, including the Construction Court, in approximately a quarter of these cases, showcasing his extensive practical knowledge and professional experience.

With a strong academic background, Christopher holds a range of qualifications including an MA in Biochemistry from Trinity College, Dublin, a PhD in Fungal Enzymic Degradation of Timber from Imperial College, and a DIC and MSc in Timber Engineering, also from Imperial College.

Additionally, he is an AIWSc and a Certified Timber Infestation Surveyor with credit, bringing a wealth of knowledge to his work.
