Angela VandenBroek is a highly accomplished anthropologist and web developer with extensive experience in research, teaching, and project management. She holds a PhD in Anthropology from Binghamton University, and has earned an MA in Anthropology from the University of Southern Mississippi and a BS in Anthropology from Grand Valley State University. Angela has more than a decade of experience in professional web development and design, and has served as the web producer for the Committee for the Anthropology of Science, Technology, and Computing (CASTAC) since 2013. Her current research focuses on the intersection of sociocultural anthropology and science and technology studies, and has been supported by a fellowship from the American-Scandinavian Foundation and a visiting researcher position at Stockholm University’s Department of Social Anthropology. Angela’s wider research and teaching interests include innovation studies, business anthropology, futures and foresight, expertise and ignorance, infrastructure, digital anthropology, and design anthropology and anthropologies of design. She is an avid minecrafter and whovian, and enjoys spending time with her husband who is a fantastic cook.
