Amanda pursued her education by studying Bachelor of Science - BS at American Sentinel University and also attended courses at Vanderbilt University.

With a rich professional background, Amanda has held significant roles at various organizations, including Senior Director and Chief Technologist at VMware, where she currently serves. She has previously worked as the Chief Technologist, Engineer, Consultant, and Principal Architect at VMware, IHS, Inc., Electronic Data Systems (EDS), Johns Manville, TEKsystems, DCS Group, TAC, Soundtrack, FrontRange Solutions, Internet Chicago Inc, and in various positions at Multiple organizations.
