Thaise Sarmento is an accomplished professional in the areas of forest engineering, agricultural chemistry, and agro-food technology. With a degree in forest engineering from the University of Brasília and multiple master's degrees and a Ph.D. in agricultural chemistry from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Thaise has a strong academic background to tackle complex challenges. Her work experience includes roles as a technical consultant for the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA), project manager at ECODATA, and GIS analyst at HEX-TECNOLOGIAS GEOESPACIAIS. Thaise has also worked as an analytical project manager at SENAR, overseeing planning, execution, and control of innovation projects. Thaise has received specialized training in sustainability, tropical forest management, and climate change at The International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).
